Wincenty de Lesseur-Lesserowicz (1745 Warsaw - 1813 Warsaw) was a son of a French colonel. He studied under Italo-born Polish court artist Marcello Bacciarelli and the latter's wife, portrait miniaturist Friederike Bacciarelli. He spent some time in Vienna and, while there, became strongly influenced by Fueger (and clearly imitated the latter's "water-drop" technique in his works), although there is no evidence of his ever being Fueger's pupil. He was taught very highly of by the King Stanislas August of Poland, who ennobled him in 1781. Lesseur-Lesserowicz executed numerous orders for the King, as well as for the Mniszech family.
