Mlle Caroline (until today she is known only with initial "C" of her first name) Foullon (also Foulon) was born in the last quarter of the 18th century in Douai, Northern France. She visitied the Parisian studio of Jean-Baptiste Jacques Augustin and lived in the early 1800s on "rue Ste. croix n°956 près Capucins". She is first mentioned in Paris in 1802. In 1835 she was still alive (in that year she exhibited miniatures at Salon de Paris).
