According to the authentic old legend on verso it is a portrait of Constance Louise Sophie, comtesse de L'Aigle, nee Princess de Broglie (1782-1866; see our image nr.8 with genealogical information). She is dressed and hairstyled according to the fashion of the 2nd half of 1810s, which means she is here ca. 33-38 years of age.
She was since 1801 a married woman, wife of Augustin Victor des Acres, comte L'Aigle (1766-1867; see again our image nr.8) and mother of three children - two sons and one daughter (all born between 1803-1804; the youngest two were twins.).
Constance was a second-born child (from four) of well-known French general of Royal Army and politician, victim of Great Terror (guillotined on 27th June 1794) - Victor, prince de Broglie (see our image nr.9).
On 28th March 1801, in age of 19, she married 16 years her senior Augustin-Louis-Victor des Acres de L'Aigle (1766-1867; he outlived her by one year and died at the age of 101 !), like her father former officer of Royal Army.
They met each other in emigration and came back to France first in 1814, at the begin of 1st Bourbon Restoration. Louis XVIII made comte de L'Aigle to "marechal-de-camp" (two-star-general). Some later the latter was awarded Chevalier Cross of Legion of Honor and that of St.Louis. On 25th February 1824 he was elected member of Parliament. In 1826 he obtained Officer Cross of Legion of Honor.
