As clearly proves our comparison image nr. 7 we are dealing here with a 100% authentic author's study for Moitz von Schwind's painting (destroyed during WWII) "Ritter Kurts Brautfahrt" ("Knight Kurt's bride-to-be journey") which the artist began in 1835 and finished in 1839.
Moritz Ludwig von Schwind is one of the most significant names in the history of Austrian and German Art of the 19th century. Von Schwind worked in Vienna and from 1827 in Munich, where he was a most highly acknowledged historical painter, friend of P.Cornelius and Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld.
