Moritz Ludwig von Schwind is one of the most significant names in the history of Austrian and German Art of the 19th century. Von Schwind worked in Vienna and from 1827 in Munich, where he was a most highly acknowledged historical painter, friend of P.Cornelius and Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld. Literature: Thieme-Becker, Vol. XXX, Page 386. Our images nr. 8-12 show several drawings by this artist which were sold in the last years at the international art auction market.
