Otto Rudolf Schatz (1900 Vienna - 1961 Vienna) studied at the Vienna School of Applied Arts under A.v.Kenner and O.Strnad. In 1938-45 he lived abroad (Italy, Balkan, Asia, USA, France, England, Switzerland, Czech Republic) and in 1946 moved back to Vienna. From 1928 till 1938 he was a member of the famous Viennese artists' group Hagenbund. O.R.Schatz is considered a very significant figure of the art life in Austria in the early 20th century. The February Battles 1934, which was a civil war fought in Austria, broke out on the 12.2.1934 to last until the 15.2.1934. Condition: In good condition, unframed.
